Global NCAP recently lauded the efforts taken by Tata Motors to produce cars with high safety standards. In the 64-second video, Global NCAP showcased how much an automaker can improve in a span of a decade by citing the example of Tata Motors.
The video features 3 cars produced by Tata Motors, that went under the crash tests conducted by Global NCAP. These 3 models were the Tata Nano, Altorz and Nexon. Out of these two models, the Tata Altorz and Nexon bagged 5-Star safety rating from Global NCAP.
The video posted by Global NCAP also highlights what car manufacturers are capable of once they commit to higher standards. This video also serves as a motivator for car makers who lag behind current safety standards.
This is also a proud moment for Tata Motors, considering an esteemed institution like Global NCAP is citing Tata Motors as an example of commitment to high safety standards and sheer trajectory of progress.
Speaking about 5-Star safety rating, the Tata Nexon was the first Indian car to bag a 5-Star safety rating. The model bagged 5-Star safety rating from Global NCAP back in 2018, and since then Tata Motors has consistently bagged 5-Star ratings for their newer models.
At present, Tata Motors’ ‘5-Star’ cars include Tata Punch, Tata Altroz, Tata Nexon, Tata Harrier, and Tata Safari. Out of these models, the Tata Altroz is the only affordable 5-Star rated hatchback to be on sale in India.
It is also worth mentioning that Indian automaker, Mahindra is also pursuing high safety standards with its new models such as the XUV300, Scorpio N, and XUV700, each bagging 5-Star safety rating at the Global NCAP.
