WATCH | Rahul Gandhi Chooses Pizza Over Ambani Wedding Amid Political Gathering; Video Viral

In a twist of events, a video of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi dining at a restaurant has taken the internet by storm. The undated footage emerged during the high-profile wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, sparking curiosity among social media users about the politician’s absence from the star-studded celebrations in Mumbai.

In the video, Gandhi is seen in a casual blue t-shirt, seated across from someone and engaged in a lively conversation. This sighting came as a surprise to many, especially given the prominence of the wedding he missed.

Gandhi’s absence was particularly noted as many of his colleagues from the I.N.D.I.A bloc mingled with other VIP guests at the Ambani wedding. The 54-year-old politician was seen waiting for pizza at an eatery in Delhi, leading to speculations that he declined his invitation to the Mumbai event.

From I.N.D.I.A bloc, Samajwadi Party Chief and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, along with his family, made an appearance. Additionally, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief and former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee were among the guests who attended the wedding on Friday.

The “Shubh Aashirwad” ceremony of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, held at the Jio World Convention Centre, saw an impressive turnout of political figures. Prime Minister Narendra Modi graced the occasion, welcomed personally by Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani and his wife, Nita Ambani. The newlyweds, Anant and Radhika, received blessings from PM Modi after touching his feet.

PM Modi was in Mumbai on Saturday for a series of events, including laying the foundation stone for multiple infrastructure projects worth over Rs 29,400 crore, encompassing roads, railways, and ports.

Several notable political personalities attended the Ambani celebration. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar were all present.

BJP leader Smriti Irani, along with her husband, also attended the ceremony, and Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi was seen on the red carpet.
