Trai, which will come into effect across the country from September 1, 2024. After the implementation of this rule, the problem of unwanted calls can be got rid of to a great extent. For this, instructions have also been issued to telecom companies by the government.

What are the new rules?
If TRAI’s report is to be believed, if you make telemarketing calls from your mobile number, then your mobile number will be blacklisted for 2 years. A new mobile number series has been issued by the government for telemarketing. The Department of Telecommunications has started a new 160-number series given prevent financial fraud. In such a situation, the banking and insurance sector will have to make promotional calls and messages from the 160 number series.

Such calls and messages will be banned
It is believed that after the implementation of the new rule, the problem of unwanted calls and messages can be rid of because the new mobile number ban rule also includes automatically generated calls and messages, which are also called robotic calls and messages. If the government is to be believed, all such calls and messages will be banned from September 1.

This is how you can complain
According to the data of the Department of Telecommunications, more than 10 thousand fraud messages have been sent in the last 3 months. If you receive such messages or calls, then your complaint can be registered on the ‘Sanchar Sathi Portal’. If someone sends you a message from a 10-digit mobile number, then you can complain about it directly on 1909.

This is how to register a complaint
First of all, go to the website sancharsathi.gov.in and scroll to Citizen Centric Service.

Then select the Chakshu option given below the tab and then click on Reporting.

After this, select the fraud category from the drop-down menu and attach the screenshot of the call.

Then enter the mobile number from which you have received the fraud call message.

Enter the date and time of the fraud call and report it.

Then enter your details. Verify it with OTP and submit the complaint.
