In a special briefing on ‘Operation Sindoor’ on Saturday, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said Pakistani claims on actions they have taken are based on lies and propaganda. He also condemned Pakistan shelling on civilians in J&K. Debunking claims of Pakistani propaganda, India released time-stamped images of Indian air bases undamaged.
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) and relevant aviation authorities have announced the temporary closure of 32 airports across northern and western India for all civilian flight operations. The closure will be effective from “May 9 to May 14 (which corresponds to 05:29 IST on May 15), due to operational reasons,” aviation regulator DGCA said in a release.

Indian Army said in a statement that on Saturday at approximately 5 a.m. multiple armed drones from Pakistan were spotted flying over Khasa Cantt, Amritsar. “The hostile drones were instantly engaged and destroyed by our air defence units,” says Army.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah condoled the death of Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Raj Kumar Thapa, in a post in ‘X’ on Saturday (May 10, 2025). Mr. Abdullah said his residence was attacked by Pakistan shelling.
