Former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal has recently addressed a letter to the RSS chief, raising concerns about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s age and the misuse of central agencies.
Presenting himself as a concerned citizen rather than a politician, Kejriwal has expressed his worries about the current political landscape in India.
In the letter, Kejriwal states, “I am writing this not as a politician, but as a common citizen. The path that the BJP-led central government is taking is detrimental to the entire nation. If this situation continues, our democracy will be destroyed. It is our duty to protect the country and its democracy, which is why I am posing several important questions that the general public wishes to know.”
Kejriwal’s Five Key Questions:
- Democratic Integrity: Kejriwal questions, “Are political leaders from various parties being coerced or lured into joining the BJP through the ED and CBI? Isn’t this damaging to democracy?” He further asks, “How do individuals previously accused of corruption become free and receive esteemed positions after joining the BJP?”
- BJP’s Allegations: He inquires, “How can the BJP, established by the RSS, engage in such misconduct? Have you taken any steps to deter the Prime Minister from such actions?”
- RSS and BJP Dynamics: Addressing the internal dynamics, Kejriwal notes, “BJP President JP Nadda has claimed that the BJP does not need the RSS’s assistance. This statement has upset many RSS workers. What is your response to this remark?”
- Retirement Policy: Finally, Kejriwal asks, “Will the retirement policy for leaders above 75 years apply to Modi as well, considering many senior leaders have stepped down?”
Kejriwal’s letter highlights his concerns about the integrity of democratic processes in India and seeks accountability from the RSS regarding the actions of the BJP-led government.
